Q: Will I be contributing to charity after I exit the page?

Charity Mine will not use your computer’s CPU power after you close the web page. So, if you want to continue contributing to charity, simply leave the Charity Mine tab open in your browser while you work on other things. Opening multiple Charity Mine tabs will not increase your contribution, one is all you need.

Q: How can I be certain that the money I’m helping generate is being donated?

Every donation that The Charity Mine makes will be posted on the site and our social media pages.  Itemized donation receipts will be posted under the, “Donations” tab on the web page.

Q: Will my electricity bill be effected by running this site?

Not particularly. The amount of computing power an average user donates to Charity Mine would be negligible on their electricity bill. If a user decides to leave Charity Mine running day and night, there will probably be a spike in the user’s electricity usage. If you increase the threads that you’re using to contribute more hashes, that will also make your computer work harder and result in increased electricity usage. Basically, Charity Mine users that donate a few hours of computing power on a regular basis will not see increased electricity usage. Ultimately, the amount of money that you’re helping contribute is far more significant than the cost of donating your unused CPU power.
